Best Shops to Buy Original iPhones and Samsung Phones in Ghana: Telefonika, Franko Trading & More
Looking for a brand-new iPhone or Samsung phone in Ghana?
There are several established electronics and phone retailers where you can check for new devices, accessories and after-sales support.
But don't buy based on price alone. Check the exact model, warranty and condition of the phone before paying.
Shops to Check in Ghana
Here are some retailers worth checking:
- Get4Less
- Electroland Ghana
- Electromart Ghana
- Telefonika
- CompuGhana
- Franko Trading
- Melcom
- iStore Ghana (Accra Mall)
Stock varies, so a particular iPhone or Samsung model may be available at one shop and unavailable at another.
Before visiting, call or check the retailer's official online channel to confirm the model, storage capacity, colour and price.
For Samsung phones, compare prices across the major electronics retailers.
For iPhones, check retailers that stock Apple products, including iStore Ghana at Accra Mall.
Can You Buy the Phone Online?
Yes. Some of these retailers allow you to order phones online and have them delivered.
Always make sure you're using the retailer's official website or confirmed ordering channel. Fake online shops and social media accounts can imitate legitimate businesses.
Before paying, confirm:
- The phone is actually in stock
- The final price
- Delivery fee
- Delivery time
- Available payment methods
- Warranty provided with the phone
Keep your receipt, payment confirmation and order details after purchasing.
If you're uncomfortable ordering an expensive phone online, visit the physical shop instead. You can inspect the device and ask questions before leaving.
Don't Forget the Accessories
Buying the phone may not be the end of your spending.
Depending on the retailer, you may also find:
- Chargers and charging cables
- Cases
- Screen protectors
- Earbuds and headphones
- Power banks
- Smartwatches
Make sure the accessory is compatible with your exact phone model.
Also check what's included in the box. Some newer phones don't include a charging adapter, so you may have to buy one separately.
If you specifically want an original Apple or Samsung accessory, ask for it. "Compatible with iPhone" or "compatible with Samsung" doesn't necessarily mean the accessory was made by Apple or Samsung.
What About Replacement Parts?
If your phone needs a new screen, battery, charging port or another replacement part, contact the retailer's service centre or repair department.
Don't assume every shop will sell the part separately. Some replacement parts may only be available as part of a repair service.
Before approving a repair, ask:
- Is the replacement part genuine?
- Who will install it?
- How much will the full repair cost?
- Does the repair come with a warranty?
Get the total price before handing over your phone.
Check the Warranty Before Paying
This is one of the most important things to check.
Ask the seller:
"How long is the warranty, what does it cover, and where do I take the phone if it develops a fault?"
Also find out whether you're getting a manufacturer warranty or store warranty and whether the phone can be serviced locally in Ghana.
Don't assume "one-year warranty" means everything is covered.
Accidental damage, cracked screens, liquid damage and repairs carried out by unauthorised technicians may not be covered.
And keep your receipt. You may need it to make a warranty claim.
Check the Phone Before Leaving the Shop
Before walking away with your new phone, check that you've received the correct:
- Model
- Storage capacity
- Colour
- SIM configuration
- Accessories
- Receipt and warranty documents
This is particularly important when buying an iPhone.
Some iPhone models originally made for certain markets may use eSIM only rather than a physical SIM card. Ask which version you're buying and make sure it works for how you intend to use the phone in Ghana.
If the phone is delivered, inspect the package as soon as you receive it and report any damage, missing items or incorrect products quickly.
Compare Before You Buy
Don't automatically buy from the first shop you find.
Check Get4Less, Electroland, Electromart, Telefonika, CompuGhana, Franko Trading, Melcom and iStore Ghana and compare:
Price + exact model + warranty + after-sales support.
A phone that's GH¢200 cheaper isn't necessarily the better deal if another retailer gives you stronger warranty coverage or better after-sales support.
Most importantly, use the retailer's official shop or ordering channel and keep your receipt after buying.
